Today, I decide to spend the whole day chilling out at home. I have a lie-in, I meditate, I eat breakfast.

I reply to a few text messages. I attempt to get cheap car insurance. I have lunch. I read emails. I watch Whip It for the second time.

Yesterday morning, I walked. The wind stirred the leaves, mimicking a melody of foaming sea to shore.

Yesterday evening, I received very sad news that had me sobbing.

Sharon’s classes are just amazing! I originally did her mindfulness course and then a few workshops and meditation classes. I’ve also had three acupuncture sessions with her which were enlightening!! I always feel so safe to be vulnerable when Sharon holds space, even on online classes. She is so professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her!

I have attended Sharon’s classes for many years now. The tools she has so kindly provided me with have continuously helped me to regulate my emotions, get me to sleep and stop me from becoming overwhelmed the way that I used to. Sharon delivers her mine of information in such an articulate, gentle and compassionate way, it feels like big comforting hug. I would highly recommend getting in touch with Sharon if you feel like you could do with some guidance on how to deal with everyday stress, getting to know yourself better through her many tools of self reflection or to feel really heard and cared for in her role as a life coach. ❤️❤️❤️

I have been very happy indeed with the coaching sessions I have been having with Sharon. I have been in therapy/coaching in some form for the last 15 years. I see this as a way to grow, to become a better person and to become aware of patterns that have hindered my life.

Sharon is very present and is really excellent at listening to me and very succinctly replying with a quick summary of where I am, which completely encapsulates what I have said. This really helps me to move forward and then work on some things.

Sharon has a great capacity to ask me the questions that I need to answer.

Basically, I have worked with many therapists/coaches over the last 15 years and Sharon really is the best for me at really helping me work through where I am, thus working with me in the present.

I have recieved treatments of acupuncture and life coaching from Sharon, for both I found her expertise exceptional. One of the last treatments was for plantar fasciitis, I immediately felt the benefits. The life coaching is an ongoing process 🙂 I love when I arrive at a crossroads knowing that Sharon is guaranteed me to help me find clarity and view things from a new perspective.

I have received acupuncture from Sharon many times. The benefits I receive unfold over time. Apart from the initial relieving of pain, it helps with the emotional and mental areas also, treating the cause as well as the effects.

Recently, I turned my ankle walking down the street. The pain was unbelievable, making me feel faint and sick to the stomach. I couldn’t move for about 20 minutes, then I hobbled to a café. I was lucky that Sharon was available and gave me acupuncture discreetly. Thank God as it calmed me and took the severe sting from the injury.

I was on the sofa for a week and Sharon made home visits. Every day, the swelling went down noticeably with the treatment of the needles, relieving the stagnation and inflammation. I would have been lost without her expertise.

If anything is out of kilter, physically, mentally or emotionally, my first port of call is Sharon as I can instantly feel the benefits.

Tonight at an Amber Run gig, I watch as the band becomes immersed in playing. There’s something riveting about witnessing other people express their creativity and passion. It’s exciting to be invited to share the experience.

The vibration of the music pulses through my body. The beat of the drums pulls me in and spurs me on. My hips begin to sway. I raise my arms and close my eyes.

Basic Human Needs

Last night, I read Marianne Power’s most recent post on the six basic human needs. Yes, it may seem like I’ve become obsessed with this woman and maybe I have. But not in a lesbian way. In an admiring, respecting, fellow-blogger-and-self-help-enthusiast way.

Anyway, I found Marianne’s post really interesting. Marianne is regurgitating self-improvement guru Tony Robbins’ work and I, in turn, am regurgitating Marianne’s work. But we’re all putting our own spin, experience and insights into it.
