The last few days have been strange. I went on a date that ended horribly. A man from my hometown was assaulted and later died. I visited a woman I know in hospital who was badly injured in an accident. And a client of mine passed away. She was a really lovely 36-year-old woman who is leaving behind a loving family, including three small girls.
What I’ve realised over these past few days is how much I’ve changed, how different my reactions are, and how grateful I am.

Sharon studied Life Coaching with the Irish Lifecoach Institute where she obtained a Diploma in Personal & Business Coaching. She also achieved a Distinction in a FETAC Level 6 Special Purpose Certificate for Life and Workplace Coaching.
Sharon studied Acupuncture with the Lansdowne College of Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine, gaining a Diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Certificate in Clinical Medicine.
Sharon has many years’ experience working with The Lifeflow Centre in Newbridge.
Sharon has completed Levels 1 & 2 in Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho.
She has a Certificate in Indian Head Massage.
Sharon achieved a Distinction in a Train the Trainer FETAC Level 6 course, enabling her to teach and facilitate classes.
She has taught courses in Positive Living, Creative Writing, and Computer & Internet Skills.
Sharon has spoken at conferences on the topics of health, alternative therapies, happiness and personal development.
In addition, Sharon has a First Class Honours Bachelors Degree in Journalism and German from Dublin Institute of Technology. She also won the Sunday World Cup for Best Student on the BA in Journalism with a Language.
Sharon has completed a course in Business Development.
I’m currently rereading Anodea Judith’s excellent book Eastern Body, Western Mind. This morning, I completed an exercise on the Inner Family that I’m going to share with you.
Anodea Judith suggests making a list of the various parts of yourself. You might include the inner child, the clown, the achiever, the lover, the critic, and so on. In my case, I listed the lost child, the inner child, the lover, the romantic, the fearful one, and the warrior.

Tonight at an Amber Run gig, I watch as the band becomes immersed in playing. There’s something riveting about witnessing other people express their creativity and passion. It’s exciting to be invited to share the experience.
The vibration of the music pulses through my body. The beat of the drums pulls me in and spurs me on. My hips begin to sway. I raise my arms and close my eyes.
